The Pizza Tools I use in the Gozney Roccbox Pizza Oven | BEGINNERS PIZZA GUIDE!Hello! Welcome to our learning to cook pizza journey! Today I show the tools I use to cook pizza in the Gozney Roccbox Pizza Oven. This is part of a series where I go through the different tools I use for each pizza oven. I hope it's helpful because when I started out cooking pizza I wasn't sure what to get - which peels to use etc. and then I bought tools I didn't really need! The tools shown here have lasted me and have been a solid investment to go with my pizza oven - I use them in nearly all of my cooking videos.

Let’s go through the tools I use in the Gozney Roccbox Pizza Oven:
1. WOODEN LAUNCH PIZZA PEEL
I use a wooden launch peel. I sprinkle some semolina onto the peel, pull my pizza onto it and prepare the pizza from there. I prefer the light wood versions rather than a heavy wood peel for ease of use. I use the Eppicotispai Wooden Launch Peel.
2. METAL TURNING PIZZA PEEL
I use a 7″ metal pizza turning peel; it’s a great size for making pizza up to 12″. If you are new to turning pizza, the more you practice the better you will get. I use the 7″ Gozney Turning Pizza Peel.
3. LASER THERMOMETER
The laser thermometer is so important to measure the stone temperature before you cook your pizza. This tool does just that and it’s so easy to use. The Gozney Roccbox does have a stone temperature thermometer so you can use that as well to monitor the heat levels and that’s a real bonus. I use the Etekcity Laser Thermometer.
ONLY USE A METAL PIZZA PEEL TO COOK YOUR PIZZA
LIGHTWEIGHT PIZZA PEELS ARE EASIER TO USE THAN HEAVY PEELS
4. HEAT PROOF BBQ GLOVES
These gloves are great for the wood burner and allow you to manage your fire without getting burnt. These are similar to the BBQ Gloves I use.
That’s 4 key items I use with the Gozney Roccbox and other pizza ovens. They are all reasonably priced and have lasted me a good few years already.
I’ve created a Pizza for Beginners YouTube playlist that gives some great tips to help you with your learning to cook pizza journey!
