How To Make Pizza in 2 Hours From Scratch
I’ve owned a bread-maker for over 10 years. It’s one of the most important machines in my kitchen! Ā It helped develop my interest in dough and spurred me on to buy a pizza oven. Ā Check out the video here where I show how I make pizza in under two hours!

In the January sales I bought a newer version of my current, old breadmaker. Ā This one has more options and can help make a sourdough starter. Ā More on that in another video and blog in a few weeks time.
Two hours seems like a long time to make and bake a pizza, however, it’s not as bad as it sounds! I did nothing for most of that time.
I just hung around waiting for the bread-machine to do its thing and then for the dough to rest. Ā There are a few key things to do and I’ve listed them below:
- Weigh out the dough recipe ingredients – listed opposite.
- Add them to the breadmaker and select the pizza dough option.
- Weigh out the kneaded dough and split into the size ball you want to make. Ā I made mine to 200g.
- Place the dough ball in a plastic bowl with an air-tight lid and put it in a warm cupboard or room for 1 hour.
Your dough is now ready to be stretched out into a pizza base, topped and cooked in your pizza oven.
All my pizza dough is made with a breadmaker and I would recommend using one if you are going to make lots of pizza dough.
Breadmakers have been designed to knead dough and they do it really well. Ā My pizza dough is kneaded consistently every time and I couldn’t be without it.
500g soft grain pizza flour
11g salt
