How To Make BEER Pizza Dough!

Let’s cover why I’m adding beer to my pizza dough.  It can bring a unique flavour to your homemade pizza and provides a different option for pizza parties.  I’ve created a simple recipe for making herb-infused pizza dough:

Ingredients:

500g pizza flour

150g IPA Beer

150g Water

9g salt

0.6g – 2g dried yeast

Instructions:

I activate the yeast using a part of the recipe water.  I then combine the salt with the rest of the water. So for example, I use 100g water for the yeast, 100g water for the salt and the rest of the water is added separately.

2. Add the ingredients to your mixing bowl or in my case, to the bread machine bowl for kneading.

Once your dough has kneaded you will need to place it in the fridge for 24 hours and then remove it, bring it back to, room temperature.  At this stage you can also freeze, your dough ready for when you need it next.

Preheat your pizza oven.

Once your dough ball has reached room temperature start the stretching process, and then pull the dough onto your launch peel.

Add your toppings and it’s ready for the cook.

You can experiment with different beer to find the flavour or taste that best suits you. I like to use strong-flavoured beer.
