How to Cook Garlic Bread in a Pizza Oven!
This video shows how I make and cook garlic bread using a pizza oven! Check the vid out!
It’s so easy to make and cook garlic bread in your pizza oven. I use leftover pizza dough and it’s always a winner with the family!
You can either use bread dough or your leftover pizza dough to make and cook garlic bread, and I always cook this bread on a low flame.
Making garlic bread is super easy and is a tasty accompaniment to your pizza dishes.
You will need to use some dough. I use leftover pizza dough using the recipe below:
500g pizza flour
1 g yeast (changes with the climate)
If you use bread dough it would be best to use dough with no sugar or oil so that it doesn’t burn in the high-heat pizza oven.
However, I always cook garlic bread on a low flame because of the butter and garlic toppings – I don’t want the flames to burn them.
You will need to stretch your dough out into an oval shape – mine is always intentionally irregular and oval! You can make it round, square or rectangular – whichever is easier for you to move around in the pizza oven!
- I use 3 large tablespoons of butter or a butter/margarine mix for a 250g dough ball
- I use 6 cloves of fresh garlic cloves, peeled and chopped/mashed. You can optionally add salt, herbs and cheese.
- Mix together and use a spoon/knife to spread this over your dough.
SUPER EASY AND SIMPLE TO MAKE AND VERY TASTY!
Once the dough is topped and ready all you need to do is launch it from your peel into the pizza oven. I keep the stone at 430c-450c in the centre and the oven on a low flame. A slower cook on a lower flame will ensure that your dough turns crispy on the crusts and will prevent the toppings from burning.
Enjoy your outdoor pizza oven cooking!
