DO THIS to Cook Thin Pan Pizza in Ooni Koda 12 from Start to FinishHello! Welcome to our learning to cook pizza journey! Today I cooked a Thin Pan Pizza using the Ooni Koda 12 Pizza oven. It took approx 6 minutes to cook. 60% Hydration Pizza Dough | 160g dough ball Recipe: 500g pizza flour 300g water 9g dissolved table salt in water above 1.7g dried yeast dissolved in water above separately from the salt (changes with climate) I used a breadmaker to knead the dough and bulk-proofed the dough for 24 hours at room temperature and balled it up 30 mins before.

Cast iron pans can withstand really high temperatures and provide great heat conduction.
I have a few cast-iron pans that I use in these high-heat pizza ovens.
This is because it is so practical to use – it can be turned around in the pizza oven.
This is an important feature as you will need to rotate the dish to ensure an even flame cook.
Making a pan pizza is very similar to creating a normal pizza. Just add your favourite toppings and cheese.
I prefer to heat up the pan before adding the dough as this gives the dough a head start on the cook. I cut the dough from the edges with a scissors. I then add the toppings and return the pizza back into the oven.
I turned the oven down to a low flame to protect the crust. The total time for the cook was 6 minutes. Keep checking and rotating the pan pizza throughout the cook.

It’s a really easy pizza to make and the pan keeps the pizza hot for a good while. I cooked a thin pan pizza in this video but the deep pan option is also very tasty – I cooked one here in the Ooni Karu 12 – check it out!
