Cooking a Pizza in 65 Seconds using the Ooni Koda 16 Pizza Oven!
We made a Steak and Mushroom Pizza and it was a fast cook! Check out the cook in this video here!
I used pre-sauteed mushrooms in garlic and added them to the tasty steak that had been cooked the day before. I used 60% hydration pizza dough, topped with buffalo mozzarella.
The Ooni Koda 16 is a super easy oven use. It’s so nice to use that I’ve a set process that guarantees a fast pizza cook every time. This is what I do:
- Pre-heat the oven on full flame until the heat has deeply penetrated the stone.
- The heat on the stone ideally should go over 420c in the centre.
- Once the heat on the stone reaches between 430c and 450c in the centre of the pizza stone your pizza is ready to be cooked.
- I keep the flame on full for the pizza cook and in-between cooks so it’s always ready for the next pizza. It takes me about 5 minutes to prepare a pizza.

I never need to turn the flame size up or down on the dial. With the flame on full, the oven is always at the right temperature and that’s why this pizza oven is so easy to use.
